- Background
- The Body Shop International
plc is a global manufacturer and retailer of naturally inspired,
ethically produced beauty and cosmetics products. Founded in the UK in
1976 by Dame Anita Roddick, there are now 2,100 stores in 55 countries,
with over 300 in the UK alone.
- The Challenge
- L&H Solutions were
briefed by The Body Shop to look at three specific areas relating to
the implementation of their challenging store refurbishment programme.
- These were:
- •
Develop and manage a master programme, inclusive of all required
processes, in order that the rollout of over 300 new design concept
store refurbishments could be phased and delivered over a four-year
period.
•
Complete all landlord and centre management negotiations
•
Full project management service for the rollout
- The new format stores,
trading from approximately 1,000 sq ft, focus on a design led visually
stimulating environment, enabling customers to fully appreciate the
breadth of Body Shop’s offering and strengthening their
position in the beauty cosmetics market
- The Solution
- Working closely with the
Client’s Store Delivery Team alongside bodh internal
(Architecture, M&E services) and external resources (QS,
Building Contractors and the Supply Chain), and acting as a fulcrum for
all circulated information, L&H Solutions have developed a
robust project structure enabling the new format stores to be
successfully delivered within a challenging timescale and to agreed
budgets. We continue to work in close harmony with The Body Shop on the
next phase, applying the learnings from the first batch of stores to
the current programme
